The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai announced a financial donation of Sri Lankan Rupees Twenty-Five Million (LKR 25,000,000) to the “Rebuild Sri Lanka” Fund to support national efforts to strengthen economic recovery, infrastructure development, and social resilience in Sri Lanka to support the efforts country’s efforts in assist victims of the recent Ditwah Cyclone.

Further consignment of dry rations delivered today
The ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to restore the lives of people affected by Cyclone Ditwah and to rebuild the country in the aftermath of the disaster, continues to receive generous contributions on a daily basis from local and international organizations, members of the business community and philanthropists.
A consignment of humanitarian relief supplies donated by the Government of Pakistan for disaster relief in Sri Lanka was officially received today (15) at the Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT), Colombo Port.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), together with the International Trade Centre (ITC), Switzerland's State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), recently launched the second phase of the Global Textile and Clothing Programme (GTEX2) in Sri Lanka.

The ninth phase of the islandwide programme to recognise outstanding achievers of G.C.E. Advanced Level implemented by the Presidential Fund, was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on the 14 th of December at Temple Trees.
The Sri Lankan community in Riyadh generously donated 4,000 kg of essential items valued at LKR 3.5 million. This contribution was made in response to the Embassy of Sri Lanka’s appeal to support the victims of the Ditwah cyclone.
The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Islamabad, Fred Senevirathne, paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner of the Maldives in Islamabad, Mohamed Thoha, at the Maldivian High Commission recently.
