State Minister for Rural Roads Development, Mr. Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan expressed confidence in President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s ability to lead the country out of the economic crisis and onto the right track. He emphasized that with the people’s support, the President would be able to build a strong economy if re-elected.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe stressed that failing to adhere to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreements would set the country back, and he urged support for the economic transformation bill presented to Parliament, emphasizing that it is everyone’s responsibility to implement the agreements.

The Cabinet has approved the memorandum presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to provide food and essential services to residents in Kolonnawa and other areas in the country affected by recent floods as a result of adverse weather conditions. This decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held yesterday (03).
