Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan successfully concluded the second round of Foreign Office Consultations in Astana today (11 April 2024). The Sri Lanka delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Aruni Wijewardane, and the delegation of Kazakhstan was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev.
State Minister for Mass Media Shantha Bandara announced that despite April 12 being a public holiday, all postal workers have agreed to work on that day to handle the significant volume of goods received by the Central Postal Exchange during the New Year season, for the first time in its history. He noted that this decision was made to accommodate the surge in demand for postal services during this festive period.
Rainy condition is expected to temporarily enhance over the island from tomorrow (11).
