From 6.00 am yesterday (31) to 6.00 am today (April 01) the police had arrested 1,093 persons who had violated curfew regulations. In addition, the police had also taken into custody 310 vehicles.

The low income vulnerable families have been granted a host of financial and material benefits in the face of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Police City Traffic Division had conducted a special operation in the Colombo area from Colombo 01 to 15 to nab curfew violators, the Police Media Division stated.
