'Mech Breeze'', the newly-constructed holiday home of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) in Diyatalawa was vested in the MIR family by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army on Saturday (17) at the invitation of Colonel of the Regiment, Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Commander Army Training Command, Major General Sena Waduge.
Navy takes hold of Kerala cannabis worth over Rs. 31 million with 03 suspects in northern waters
July 19, 2021Sri Lanka Navy managed to seize about 103kg and 750g of Kerala cannabis, during a special operation conducted in northern waters off Kankesanthurai, Jaffna in the dark hours on 15th July 2021. The operation also led to the apprehension of 03 suspects and a dinghy in connection to the racket.
