The 26 th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Korea Business Council (SLKBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was held on 12 th January 2021 via MS Teams. The SLKBC was inaugurated on 4th November 1982, in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the request of the late Hon. Lalith Athulathmudali with the objective of promoting trade, investments, tourism and services between Sri Lanka and Korea.

A special operation conducted by Navy in Manthai area on 26th January 2021 led to the recovery of about 31kg of Kerala cannabis.

Serjeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando says that random PCR tests are conducted once a week for the staff of the Parliament at the Parliament complex and that the Hon. Members of Parliament are also invited to attend these PCR tests.
