Covid death figures reported today 14.10.2021

Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage, delivering the country statement virtually at the Sixth Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Conference of Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), re-emphasized Sri Lanka’s continued engagement and close cooperation with the 27 - member regional body in achieving its goals for common benefit.

Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris addressed the diplomatic community at the Foreign Ministry auditorium on 13 October 2021. The Colombo-based diplomatic community was present at the meeting which was conducted under the approved COVID-19 related guidelines.

Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army (COAS) General Manoj Mukund Naravane accompanied by a military delegation met the Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) at the Ministry  (Oct 13).
