    With the aim of providing quality benefits of the free health service to the Sri Lankan public, the foundation stone for the two-storied Assisted Reproductive Treatment Centre was laid lastday at the Castle Street Hospital for Women, under the patronage of the Health Ministry Secretary Mrs. Badrani Jayawardena.

    Heeding a directive of the police, 8437 Sri Lankans returning to the country from overseas had registered with the police. Out of them 4498 are from the Western Province, 1187 are from the Central Province and 742 are from the Wayamba Province, DIG Ajith Rohana said.
