JMSDF Training Squadron ships depart the island
May 23, 2022The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) Training Squadron ships ‘KASHIMA’ and ‘SHIMAKAZE’ which recently arrived at the port of Colombo on a three day visit, departed the island (21st May 2022) concluding their official visit.
Eight more Senior Brigadiers of the Army, just promoted to the rank of Major General to coincide with the 13th War Heroes’ Commemoration Day aka Victory Day called at the office of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army at Sri Jayawardenepura May (19) in order to pay courtesies and receive their rank insignia.
The Ambassador of the United States to Sri Lanka, H.E. Julie J. Chung met with Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters (20th May 2022).
