His Excellency Tareq Md Ariful Islam, the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters (09th July 2021).

Sri Lanka Navy deployed 08 relief teams in several areas in the Kalutara, Rathnapura and Galle districts (10th July 2021) to provide relief to the people, in preparation for possible flood risk in above areas with heavy rains brought by inclement weather.

The Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus has recommended that all electoral laws in Sri Lanka should be consolidated into one electoral code and should be proposed to the
Parliamentary Select Committee on electoral law reforms to make necessary amendments in this regard.
