Positive Progress in Securing Second IMF Tranche, Says Acting Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe
September 29, 2023Acting Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe announced that negotiations to secure the second tranche of funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are progressing positively. He emphasized that the government’s economic reform efforts are currently under evaluation by the IMF.
