A Delegation from the Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy visited the Foreign Ministry as a part of their study tour on 21 January, 2021.
Concluding his official visit to Sri Lanka, Chief of Naval Staff of Bangladesh, Admiral, M Shaheen Iqbal departed the island (23rd January 2022). The Bangladesh Navy Chief arrived in Sri Lanka on 18th January, on a four-day formal visit.

January 23, 2022A coordinated operation conducted by the Navy and Police in Chulipuram area, Jaffna on the night of 21st January 2022 led to the apprehension of a suspect with about 80kg and 500g of Kerala cannabis.
