Dengue is still on the rise with the majority of cases reported from the Western Province. The Western Province has recorded the highest number of dengue cases with a total of 4395 cases being reported.

A meeting with all principals of schools participating in big matches, Old Boys Association representatives and student leaders was held at the Education Ministry on the directives  of the Education Minister to advise them on maintaining law and order and behaving in a disciplined manner on the roads during motor rallies organised in view of the big matches. 

The Sri Lanka Air Force celebrates its 69th Anniversary today (2nd of March 2020). In view of the anniversary celebrations the "AIR FORCE DAY" which is the premier event in its calendar will be celebrated with pomp and pageantry giving prominence to religious observances at the SLAF Headquarters and all other camps and establishments.
