    The President expects to gain maximum benefits from the development spaces in the Indian Ocean region

    Steps will be taken to provide commercially valuable lands located in major cities in the country to investors so as to contribute to the economy, State Minister of Urban Development and Housing Arundika Fernando said.

    Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and the President of Sri Lanka H.E. Ranil Wickremesinghe had productive and outcome-oriented discussions during their interactions in New Delhi on 21st July 2023. The leaders acknowledged that the India-Sri Lanka partnership has been a source of strength in overcoming economic difficulties faced by Sri Lanka and the President of Sri Lanka specially appreciated India’s timely, unprecedented, and crucial support to the Government and the people of Sri Lanka.
