Media release on Passage Exercise scheduled to be conducted between Sri Lanka and Pakistan navies
August 15, 2022The Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Taimur which arrived in Sri Lanka on a formal visit, is scheduled to conduct a Passage Exercise with SLNS Sindurala in seas off Colombo as she departs the island on 15th August 2022, upon completion of her visit.
Sri Lanka Navy assisted the conduct of traditional water-cutting ceremony of Sri Dalada Perahara at Gatambe on the morning of 12th August 2022.

Navy renders assistance to bring ashore distressed local fishing trawler with a deceased fisherman
August 13, 2022Sri Lanka Navy on the night of 11th August 2022 brought ashore a local fishing trawler in distress in seas, about 68 nautical miles (125km) off the Galle Lighthouse, due to a mechanical failure.
