It will be held this year under the theme Kithu Upathin Navumvana Minisathbavata Ida Demu".

According to the Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs John Amarathunghe, approximately Rs.7.5 million has been allocated for the State Christmas Festival by the government.
