Armed Forces Remembrance Day and the Poppy Ceremony 2016, organized by the Sri Lanka Ex-servicemen’s Association (SLESA) will be held on 6th November in front of the War Memorial Monument at Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo.
Parallel to the ceremony the Poppy Walk will also proceed from Galle Face to Viharamahadevi Park on 24th September with the Participation of the members of the SLESA.
This year Poppy season was begun on 1st August pinning the first Poppy flower on President Maithripala Sirisena.
