Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe met the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz on Wednesday afternoon at the European Parliament Premises.
They held bilateral discussions on ongoing development and political progress in Sri Lanka, while the President of European Parliament assured their fullest support to Sri Lanka. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for their commitment so far towards Sri Lanka and expected it further.
A group of diplomats representing the European Parliament expected to visit Sri Lanka within the next two weeks, the President informed the Prime Minister.
