Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has given this assurance at talks with Educational Authorities in Jaffna recently.

The qualitative aspects of schools are to be enhanced with the provision of the human and physical resources. Those who are currently functioning as teachers in the area, affiliated to civil defence services, will be admitted to permanent teacher service upon conducting of an Examination and interview.

The Prime Minister has informed the Authorities that the progress should be evaluated within 6 months.
